TechArt project introduces Oulu2026 programme package Arctic Food Lab, which takes northern flavours and experiences to the world

Come and meet the gastronomy creators at the Oulu Marketplace during 10.-12.12.

The short but intense summer in northern Finland ripens the ingredients of our local cuisine. Arctic Food Lab is the European Capital of Culture, Oulu2026 programme that highlights the uniqueness of the raw materials grown under the northern sky of the region and the food tradition created under Arctic conditions. The goal is to provide local and international guests with Arctic Food Lab experiences that cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Arctic Food Lab brings together gastronomy and food culture actors in the Oulu region and creates images of clean Arctic nature and the raw materials grown there, which are processed with local expertise into high-quality products and services. 

In the Arctic Food Lab all food operators in the area can participate, from producers to restaurateurs. More detailed criteria can be found on the website:
